Choosing Products
What mobility products do Mobility Depot USA sell?
Mobility Depot USA offers mobility scooters, power chairs, wheelchairs, transport chairs, rollators, and related mobility equipment designed to support comfort, safety, and independence at home, during travel, and in everyday life.
Do you offer help choosing the right mobility equipment?
Yes. Mobility Depot USA provides expert guidance from our Iowa-based mobility team to help customers compare mobility scooters, power chairs, wheelchairs, and rollators and choose the right option for their needs.
How do I choose the right mobility scooter?
The right mobility scooter depends on where you plan to use it, how portable it needs to be, your preferred turning radius, battery range, seat comfort, and weight capacity.
Travel scooters are ideal for portability, while full-size and heavy-duty mobility scooters are often better for outdoor use and longer distances.
What is the difference between a 3-wheel and 4-wheel mobility scooter?
A 3-wheel mobility scooter usually offers a tighter turning radius, which can make it easier to use indoors.
A 4-wheel mobility scooter typically provides greater stability, especially for outdoor use and uneven surfaces. Many newer models of 4-wheel travel scooters have easy turn steering and are great for indoor use.
What is the difference between a power chair and a mobility scooter?
A power chair is usually controlled with a joystick and is often a better choice for users who need tighter indoor maneuverability or more supportive seating.
A mobility scooter typically uses a tiller handle for steering and is a popular choice for users who can sit upright and steer comfortably.
Are mobility scooters and power chairs good for travel?
Many travel mobility scooters and portable power chairs are designed for easier transport and storage. Some models fold, while others disassemble for loading into a car trunk or SUV. Always check folded dimensions, product weight, and battery details before purchasing for travel use.
How do I know if a product will fit in my car?
Check the product’s total weight, folded size, disassembled piece weights, and overall dimensions. Travel scooters and lightweight transport chairs are typically the easiest options for vehicle transport.
How far can a mobility scooter go on one battery charge?
Battery range varies by model, rider weight, terrain, speed, and battery size. Some portable mobility scooters are designed for shorter daily trips, while larger scooters can offer a longer driving range. The estimated range is listed on the individual product detail pages of our website.
What weight capacity should I look for?
You should choose a product with a weight capacity that safely supports the user while allowing for comfort and daily use. Standard models work well for many users, while heavy-duty mobility scooters, power chairs, and wheelchairs are available for higher weight-capacity needs.
Are wheelchairs and transport chairs the same thing?
No. A standard wheelchair may be self-propelled or pushed by a caregiver and usually has larger rear wheels.
A transport chair is lighter and more compact, but it is designed to be pushed by a caregiver because it has smaller rear wheels.
What is the difference between a rollator and a walker?
A rollator has wheels, hand brakes, and often a seat, making it a popular choice for users who need support while walking longer distances. A standard walker usually only has zero or two wheels and may provide more basic walking support.

Warranty
What warranty coverage comes with your products?
We only sell quality mobility products from manufacturers that offer strong warranty coverage. Manufacturer warranties typically cover defects in materials and workmanship, helping ensure your product arrives and performs as intended.
How long is the warranty?
Warranty periods vary by manufacturer and product. The specific warranty length, along with important coverage details, is listed on each individual product page.
What does the warranty cover?
Warranty coverage generally applies to manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. Coverage, exclusions, and claim terms vary by manufacturer, so customers should review the warranty details shown on the product page.
What is not covered by the warranty?
Warranty exclusions vary by manufacturer, but they often do not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, improper assembly, or issues caused by unauthorized repairs or modifications. Please review the warranty details on the product page for the specific product you are considering.
Who handles the warranty claim?
The manufacturer’s warranty is ultimately between the end user and the manufacturer. However, Mobility Depot USA is always here to help and can assist as a go-between during the process.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Please contact Mobility Depot USA first if you believe your product has a warranty issue. In many cases, we may be able to help diagnose the problem over the phone and guide you through the next steps. If a manufacturer claim is needed, we will assist you through that process.
Should I contact the manufacturer directly?
We recommend contacting Mobility Depot USA first. Our team may be able to troubleshoot the issue quickly and help determine the best way to move forward before a formal warranty claim is submitted.
